Biomes of the World
There are many types of different biomes, such as:
Tropical Savannah: low precipitation
Taiga: long winters, cold
Temperate Desert: less than 25 cm of precipitation
Temperate Forest: rain and snow different temperatures.
Temperate Rainforest: humid, large amounts of precipitation
Temperate Savannah: hot summers cold winters, moderate precipitation
Tundra: cold, short summers
Tropical Desert: less than 25 cm of precipitation
Tropical Rainforest: humid and warm, 200 to 450 cm of rainfall a year.
Chaparral: warm dry summers, mild and wet winters
Aquatic: fresh water, ponds
Freshwater: less than 1% of salt
Saltwater: range of 30 to 100 F in temperature
Estuary: mix of salt water and fresh water
