Freshwater: The freshwater biome is one of the most popular in the U.S.A. because everyone likes to go fishing frequently. Eating fish is healthy, its not as fattening as chicken. The climate in the freshwater biome is fairly warm, its best to fish when its warm but not too hot like in the summer time.
Animals: Freshwater River Dolphin Freshwater Crocodile Piranha Ghost Shrimp Lobster
Plants: Moss Grass Lilypads Cattail Willows
Facts: The freshwater biome is very interesting considering there are many species that live in this biome. A lot of species interact with each other, some species may never meet considering that freshwater rivers are connected to the ocean. 70% of Earth is covered up by water, 2.5% is only freshwater. Most of the freshwater is in ice caps and glaciers. Frogs hop on Lilypads to stay on land. Piranhas feed off of other fish such as goldfish, ghost shrimp, and other smaller fish. Moss is produced when water is on a rock for a great amount of time, ghost shrimp feed off of moss.
